The role you’ll contribute:

The Project Manager, Strategy and Physician Enterprise (PE) MultiState Division (MSD) investigates, researches, reports and provides solutions to cross functional strategic issues and implements organizational changes. Serves as a liaison between the MSD Leadership team and business partners and assists in the ranking and escalation of critical needs/issues. This position is also responsible for the coordination and oversight of project management activities for the MSD. Responsible for managing teams and tools that coordinate strategy engagement and effectiveness resources which monitor and align top strategic initiatives. The Project Manager will develop and manage a repeatable process/playbook for managing projects of varied sizes and for creating a portfolio view for MSD Strategy and PE leadership. They will lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risks. Has ultimate responsibility for all assigned MSD projects and manages customer satisfaction, definition, planning, monitoring, and other aspects of a MSD project.

The individual will also be an active member of the Corporate Communications & Strategy Management team.

· Leads and directs high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with project sponsor and team. Develops a project management approach based on project management science and best practices that enable MSD PE to have a standardized approach.

· Coordinates and facilitates delivery of project objectives. Establishes clear ownership for project tasks, ensures that team members have the tools needed, and provides timely feedback.

· Assesses project issues and identifies solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals. Proactively communicates project status, issues, and risks to management.

· Assists the MSD Leadership by providing technical assistance and guidance on the preparation, coordination, implementation, and communication of executive actions.

· Collaborates closely with multiple department leaders and staff during project research and planning implementation.

· May serve as the MSD Leadership representative at various meetings.

· Utilizes Lean process improvement methodology to approach and solve identified problems/projects and manage the implementation of solutions to improve workflow efficiency.

· Provides Information/Reports/Tools delivering a comprehensive suite of strategy management tools, templates, reports, briefs, dashboards and other products for corporate and initiative leaders and team members. Develops and/or maintains regular updates on strategic initiative briefs, corporate services plans, marketplace business plans and other written updates and reports to ensure information is current, aligned and value-added.

· Maintains the Strategy Management Arc site to provide universal access to information and tools for the effective management of organizational strategy. Drives proactively ways to have deeper and automated insights into strategic initiative implementation.

· Consults with executive, departmental and initiative leaders on the effective integration of corporate services plans with market input and the strategic framework to ensure alignment, reduce friction, and add value to our markets. Acts as trusted advisor to senior leaders with regards to effective project management and alignment of priorities and is able to influence stakeholders to take action and incorporate recommendations.

· Provides Solutions/Recommendations utilizing reports and dashboards to proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Utilizes expertise in process improvement, operations, project and change management to offer mitigation tools and recommend innovative solutions as opportunities are identified.

· Supports MSD PE Leadership with the facilitation of Operations Council meetings and the execution of the strategic initiatives and corporate services planning efforts. Works to develop specific materials for Operations Council, Cabinet and other corporate meetings related to executing the initiatives and managing corporate services planning.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field

· 3 years of experience leading large/complex projects

· 5 years healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications :

· Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field

· Experience with large physician groups

· Lean Performance Improvement Certification

· Certification in a relevant performance improvement or project management methodology such as Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
