Dayton Children's Hospital Pharmacy Technician I in Dayton, Ohio

Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Inpatient PharmacySchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The pharmacy technician assists the pharmacist with the preparation of medications for dispensing. The technician performs various technical and supportive tasks necessary to provide pharmacy services. The pharmacy technician works under supervision of the pharmacist, and focuses on accurate medication preparation following established policy and procedures set forth by the Pharmacy Department. This role meets the requirements of being a qualified pharmacy technician as established by the State Board of Pharmacy and is registered with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy intern, a registered technician, or certified technician. The technician complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration, along with other regulatory agencies.

Education:

  • HSD/GED is required

Certification/Licensure:

  • Registered with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy intern, a registered technician, or technician trainee is required
