JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for equipment set up and instruction while providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May have to communicate or interact with, assess, or treat patients of all ages.

  • Documents all interaction with patients/customers in their record.

  • Listens and resolves complaints and refers to the appropriate personnel as warranted.

  • Preps for setups and sets equipment to prescribed therapy.

  • Answer inquiries and follows up with patients regarding technical issues with equipment.

  • Perform assessments/reassessments of each patient's care or service needs throughout the patient's contact with the organization including physical assessments; psychosocial assessments; functional assessments; and activity assessments.

  • Formulate, revise; and maintain basic patient care plans based on physician orders and assessment findings including the identification of patient problems/needs, goals, and actions and interventions relating to the care or service provided when necessary.

  • Monitor patient's response to the care or services provided, the actions or interventions taken, and the outcome of the care or service provided.

  • Educate patients and other end users with relation to their home medical equipment use by covering operating features, warranty, and safety while providing demonstrations.

  • Encourage patients with their therapy and compliance with equipment usage.

  • Promote safe, effective patient and organizational environments and equipment use.

  • Collects and processes payments from patients.

  • Completion of all paperwork relating to delivery, pick up, exchange, repair/replace, and additional forms as deemed necessary.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Two years in person customer service interaction required.
