UCLA Health Assistant Study Coordinator-LAUNCH in Los Angeles, California

Description

As the Assistant Study Coordinator for the LAUNCH program, you will assist the Clinical Research Coordinator and/or Senior Clinical Research Coordinator in contributing to the overall operational management of clinical research/trial/study activities. In this role, you will recognize and perform necessary tasks to assist the Clinical Research Coordinator and/or Senior Clinical Research Coordinator in managing projects and prioritizing work to meet necessary deadlines. You will support the Clinical Research Coordinator and/or Senior Clinical Research Coordinator in planning and organizing necessary tasks to ensure adherence to the study protocol and applicable regulations.

1 of 8 positions being filled for this role. Positions will be available in CTSI, Semel, Nephrology, Hematology/Oncology and Nutrition

Salary Range: $26.29-$42.28 Hourly

*Limited 12-Month internship position, may convert to career

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Healthcare Setting

  • Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport, and build relationships.

  • Strong organizational capabilities.

  • Skills sufficient to solve problems and identify solutions

  • Ability to adapt to changing job demands and priorities; work flexible hours to accommodate research deadlines.

  • Ability to respond to situations in an appropriate and professional manner.

  • Ability to concentrate and focus in a work environment that contains distracting stimuli and competing deadlines.

  • Ability to be flexible in handling work delegated by more than one individual.

  • Typing and computer skill/ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry.

  • Ability to navigate numerous software programs and applications.

  • Ability to handle confidential material information with judgement and discretion.

  • Skill in coordinating information transfer among multiple constituents.
