Your Role:

Accountable for the repairs, maintenance, and operation of O-I Perrysburg Campus buildings and site. Works with or oversees work by vendors, contractors, and service personnel.

Responsible for providing a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment for all building occupants. Work can be requested by building occupants or Property Management and be executed with other O-I personnel or outside contractors.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Performs work on HVAC systems, preventative maintenance program, pneumatic controls, plumbing, and fire protection systems

  • Performs work on computerized control systems for buildings

  • Responsible for snow and ice removal from parking lots and sidewalks

  • Conducts or oversees lawn and ground maintenance

  • Handles furniture repairs and provides keys for furniture

  • Facilitates set up of conference rooms and AV equipment

  • Facilitates the set-up of special events on campus

  • Supports or supervises outside contractors for repairs, janitorial, landscaping, and other areas.

  • Responds to work requests from building occupants

  • Utilizes O-I safety programs and adheres to OSHA regulations to complete job duties

  • Assists in ordering, tracking and inventory of materials and spare parts

  • Continued education & training in Building Maintenance

  • Awareness of O-I asbestos program and perform gasket removal per O-I asbestos removal guidelines

  • Working knowledge of work ticket and PM program

Reporting Relationships:

No direct reports.

Position Requirements:

About You:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Two (2) to three (3) years experience with building maintenance

  • Specialized training in building systems

  • low pressure boiler operator experience

  • DDC control systems experience

  • Must have a valid drivers license

  • Experience operating various types of equipment

  • Fork lift operator license required

  • Asbestos gasket removal certification

  • Knowledge of electrical systems

  • Positive attitude, team player, self-starter and problem solver

  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 70 lbs.

  • Ability to manage projects

  • Ability to be on call on a rotating basis

  • CPR certification

  • Minimal travel required
