Position Description:

Who we are:

Glass to Glass LLC, a local recycling organization located in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a qualified individual to perform mechanical duties in a “state of the art” facility recently upgraded with new sorting equipment. This individual must be team orientated, knowledgeable with maintenance activities, inspect and repair equipment as necessary, have positive communication skills and ability to receive and follow instructions, and maintain records of activities.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment while identifying potential problems or opportunities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Performing outlined preventative maintenance programs on optical sorting equipment.

  • Performing outlined preventative maintenance programs plant equipment.

  • Diagnosing equipment and correcting performance related problems in a timely manner.

  • Adhering to and enforcing all safety and environmental policies and procedures.

  • Maintain inventory of repair supplies and parts.

  • Maintain logs and records of repairs and equipment information.

Position Requirements:

About You:

  • Proven maintenance experience.

  • Ability to work with computer mainframes on equipment.

  • Knowledge of equipment including conveyors, air valves, electrical motors, pulleys and rubber belting.

  • Skilled use of hand and power tools.

  • Ability to weld and fabricate various metals.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems related to equipment.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.

  • Strong time management skills
