Amazon Manager, Sales, Black Business Accelerator (BBA) in Seattle, Washington

Amazon is committed to supporting under-represented businesses to become successful selling partners in Amazon’s store. Our North American Selling Partner Services organization, which drives growth for over 2MM Amazon Sellers, is seeking dynamic and motivated Senior Leader to join our fast-growing Black Business Accelerator (BBA) team of specialists to help Black-owned businesses (BoBs) start selling and successfully run their businesses in Amazon’s store.

This role owns our direct seller recruitment operations for US-based BoB Sellers. A successful leader will be an effective listener, communicator, problem-solver and people leader. He or she constantly balances the needs and requirements of both Amazon.com and strategic sellers, and is comfortable engaging some of Amazon’s most important partners and sellers, as well as internal cross-functional teams with high visibility. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high level of senior leadership in influencing partner organizations, drive strategic organizational vision and planning, and develop leaders to execute on demanding goals and initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with World-Wide (WW) and Domestic stakeholders to align on programs and initiatives to drive growth of our seller base

• Grow and develop a senior leadership team across multiple sales channels and verticals

• Set goals and strategic direction for the team, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision

• Review and lead deep dive analysis on issues affecting Seller business performance and provide the Voice of the Seller as an input into product development and process improvement

• Analyze trends, diagnose root cause of performance and create actionable plans for operational improvements

• Become a thought leader in defining success criteria and understand business needs of internal and external stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

• 5-10 years professional experience leading large teams and managing leaders

• Proven ability to lead across multiple functions directly, including Sales, Product, Marketing, and Account Management

• Ability to craft the vision for the program, rally the organization behind it and ensure delivery

• Strong business acumen, customer-centric mentality, analytical thinking and execution discipline

• Able to lead and deliver in fast-pace environment. Track record of constant innovation and hands-on execution

• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with global teams, across multiple functions including Product, Tech, Operations, and Sales

• Proven track record of earning trust across levels, tenures and dotted line relationships including with international scope

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience on engaging and influencing senior executives

• BA/BS required

Preferred Qualifications

· Executive level experience in E-commerce or retail preferred

· Extensive experience in leading direct seller recruitment teams/initiatives

· An M.B.A. or equivalent master’s degree is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
