Overview

The Procurement Specialist of Subcontractor Procurement is responsible to oversee the ABM day-to-day

Subcontracting processes to support the Manager of Subcontracting and Director. This is a fast paced, results driven position. The ideal candidate will possess a technical understanding and competence in Procurement and understand subcontracted services.

Please note: This is a hybrid position; you will be required to work in the office 3 days per week. Applicant must reside or plan to reside in one of the following cities on or before the scheduled start date: New York, Chicago or Sugarland, TX. No relocation assistance will be provided.

Essential Duties

  • Provide tactical support for projects from prospecting to account start up, including leading Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.

  • Support subcontractor pre-qualification database and ensure proper onboarding.

  • Monitor & track compliance with standard processes, e.g.

  • Presence of signed subcontractor agreements

  • Use of qualified subcontractors

  • Itemized invoicing

  • Lead subcontractor management processes to include performance against KPIs, rebates, savings & discounts etc.

  • Support field and Procurement team by coordinating QBRs for key subcontractors.

  • Maintain online procurement portal and pipeline.

  • Lead negotiations with both incumbent and new subcontractors, including rate cards.

  • Support implementation, adoption of other systems to support subcontracting.

  • Serve as ABM point-person for operators & external subcontractors.

  • Follow a culture of excellence and ensure continuous improvement using best practices.

  • Collect data and develop spend/scope baselines for various projects.

  • Research, identify, and drive adoption of improved processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

  • 2-5 years of experience and knowledge of strategic planning and procurement, including experience leading sourcing events and negotiating contracts

  • Strong analytical and research skills

  • Excellent Microsoft Office application skills

  • Excellent Interpersonal, Verbal & Written Communications Skills

  • Analytical mindset, strong work ethic, self-sufficient, great attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast pace, results driven environment and adhere to strict deadlines.

Pay: $70,000-$80,000.00.

The pay listed is the salary range for this position, an estimate and not guaranteed. Any specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
