XYLEM is looking for a new colleague for the following position:

Regional Category Manager - Financial Services & Consulting

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, execution and implementation of category related projects/initiatives:

  • Develop and implement Consulting&Financial services initiatives focused on cost reduction and service improvement.

  • Develop internal stakeholder relationships across all categories.

  • Develop and set up Consulting procurement approach at regional level.

  • Develop Consulting & Financial services procurement strategy.

  • Propose and define categories strategies – identify opportunities working close to the sites/entities:

  • define strategic goals/projects for matching saving targets with KPI’s

  • define strategic goals aligned to sustainability mission

  • Delivery at regional level Targets and KPI’s:

  • Savings

  • Preferred Supplier Program / Payment Term extension / Supplier count / Contract Coverage / Sustainability Targets

  • Partner and build positive relationships, representing Procurement across cross-functional business teams.

  • Manage relationships with suppliers / introduce new providers / consolidate spend / identify and foster implementation of global-regional providers

  • Quickly establish credibility and engage and influence others in order to ensure the most effective and efficient solutions are implemented

  • Plan and execute effective negotiation process (benchmarking, RFP, response evaluation, negotiations, implementation and contract admin)

  • Cost structure analysis

  • Perform procurement reporting and analysis to identify potential improvement opportunities.

  • Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process improvement for the organization.

  • Market Intelligence and Industry analysis.

Qualifications: Education, Experience

  • Commercial business acumen

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline (Master’s Degree preferred)

  • 3-5 years of experience in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers/service providers and delivering annual cost reductions

  • 1-3 years of project management experience required

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills to collaborate with a global team

  • Experience working with Global Business partners in global regions (EMEA, Americas, APAC)

  • Expertise in indirect category Consulting and Financial Services

  • Ability to quickly establish credibility across the organization and to engage and influence others to ensure the most effective and efficient solutions are implemented
